YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (YODEP)
Youth tend to be naturally idealistic, creative, and energetic. They are positioned to play a very important role in managing conflicts and differences. Where they are given adequate opportunities for positive involvement, they can be critical to ensuring longer-term stability, producing effective outcomes within communities, and offering protection from future conflicts.
Triumphant Youth Foundation is committed to harnessing the real participatory power of young people and their readiness to get involve in decision making, leadership, economy development, politics and effective community engagement. Triumphant Youth Foundation addresses the “meaninglessness of life” culture among the youth today by rebuilding key foundations in vital areas of their lives such as self – image, peer pressure, family living, work ethic and community relationships. Triumphant Youth Foundation provides a number of short-term/long-term programmes designed to address issues, both past, present and future that affect youths.
Triumphant Youth Advocacy Programme (TYAP) aims to prevent the diminution of a young person’s self-respect, caused by paternalistic and authoritarian attitudes of those people who have professional authority over the young person’s life¾teachers, lawyers, law enforcement authorities as well as well-meaning but misguided social workers, youth workers, probation officers and others within the helping professions.
The Triumphant Youth Advocacy Programme (TYAP) works to vigorously defend the rights and promote the well-being of youth not limited to education, housing, employment, unemployment, health, social security, recreation and human relationships to help them grow into healthy and productive members of our society.
Triumphant Youth Adaptable Leadership Training (TALT), is an approach to leadership characterized by the capacity to initiate and sustain a collaborative process designed to achieve meaningful social change through the collective action of multiple and diverse stakeholders. A leadership hub uniquely suited to confront the many challenges facing today’s youth. In today’s world, a new type of leadership is needed to confront extreme poverty, social injustice, devastating and often-violent conflict, severe environmental degradation and widespread disease.
To achieve sustainable results in these and other areas, the combined efforts of many actors—from business, community organizations and government—are required to come up with innovative ideas, new types of resources and the will to work together. TALT provides a model or an approach for doing just that.
To make real progress on these issues, society must learn to get past the acrimony, mistrust, prejudice and the many divides that separate us, and establish trust and new types of relationships that make going forward together both possible and practical. By building upon the intellectual foundations of transformative leadership in the field of leadership studies and drawing liberally from the concept of collaboration from the field of development, Bridging Leadership offers an alternative approach that looks at the role of citizens within a partnership framework. Because it is based on the value of inclusion Bridging Leadership easily incorporates traditional leadership ideas and practices. The bridging method offers insights into a process that begins with convening and relationship building, through the development of consensus, all the way to action. It is an attempt to add a holistic focus by considering the needs and potential impact of leadership at the level of the individual, the organization and society.
We need mentors, coaches and resource persons to help the youth grow healthy and achieve every sphere of influence
