Project Gyara Kayanka: A Strategic Intervention for Regional Stability

In Northern Nigeria, young men and women (ages 7–18) living on the streets are more than just economically disadvantaged—they are vulnerable to human trafficking, criminal recruitment, and radicalization.

Gyara Kayanka acts as a "Social Shield," transforming these vulnerabilities into strengths through a structured, multi-phase recovery model. Without intervention, these youth are the primary targets for human trafficking, criminal recruitment, and radicalization. TYF is changing this trajectory through a holistic approach that heals trauma, builds skills, and creates pathways to dignity and economic independence.
